International Collaboration in Málaga Continues to Grow

At Fundación Proyectos Educativos Andalucía, we strongly believe that international education is about much more than physical mobility alone. It is about connection, collaboration, cultural understanding, and creating meaningful learning experiences that prepare young people for an increasingly international world.

Over the past months, we have proudly seen an incredible growth in collaborations between Dutch vocational schools and Spanish educational institutions in Málaga. These partnerships have created valuable opportunities for both students and teachers to learn from one another in authentic, real-life settings.

One of the highlights of January was the participation of students from DigitechFP in a special Software Development edition of the Málaga Business Bootcamp . Together with Dutch students, they worked in international teams on real challenges provided by local organisations and companies in Málaga. The project not only encouraged innovation and problem-solving, but also showed the power of intercultural teamwork within the field of technology and software development.

Alongside the Bootcamp projects, many Dutch student groups visited Spanish schools throughout Málaga. The purpose of most of these visits was to exchange intercultural experiences, perspectives, and educational approaches. Students had the opportunity to step outside their own cultural and educational environment and engage directly with peers from another country.

Some collaborations went even further. Sports students from Curio organised and delivered sports activities and lessons at @IES Santa Barbara and Dyar, creating energetic and interactive moments for younger local students. Dutch teachers also shared their expertise by giving lessons at CDP Santa María de los Ángeles, while students of Davante actively contributed by hosting workshops for visiting Dutch groups. Teachers of Cesur supported the development of students in de Health sector to not only get insight in the Spanish educational system but also aquire skills they hadn’t learned in the Netherlands yet

These types of exchanges consistently leave a positive impact on everyone involved. They create enthusiasm, curiosity, confidence, and mutual respect between students, teachers, and schools from different backgrounds. In many cases, these encounters become memorable experiences that broaden perspectives far beyond the classroom.

In total, 16 Dutch student groups participated in educational projects and collaborations in Málaga, representing 9 different vocational schools from the Netherlands. These activities were made possible through collaborations with 5 vocational education schools in the city of Málaga.

We are incredibly proud of the growing international network that continues to develop through these initiatives. By connecting schools, students, teachers, organisations, and local communities, we are helping to build stronger educational bridges between countries and creating learning experiences that truly matter.

At Fundación Proyectos Educativos Andalucía, we look forward to continuing these collaborations and expanding opportunities for future generations of students across Europe.
